Simply encourage your little one to place the cheerios (or any cereal you have – alternatively use beads, buttons, or any small object (under supervision with small parts)
Count as you go
You could expand this activity by counting the cheerios as you place them on the fish and if you had multicoloured hoops you could go one step further and ask some questions like this:
> How many red hoops have you got?
> Can you put 3 green hoops on the fish?
> What colour hoop is the fishes’ eye?
